Minna Technology Meetup alias MinnaTechMeetup came to be on 23 September, 2017 and the experience on the part of the participants and organizers can not be truly expressed in words but trying wont be a bad idea. Amidst the expectation for the event and the cloudy look of the weather, it didn't discourage the participants who walked into the venue. MinnaTechMeetup is an initiative geared towards improving interaction among stakeholders and enthusiasts of Information Communication Technology in Niger State and its environment.

It is brought to you by Mxcliq Nigeria in collaboration with Google Developer Group, Minna and Niger State Book and Other Intellectual Resource Development Agency. In this maiden edition, We had 40+ participants in attendance with a considerable number of females present courtesy of Abocoders, an outfit in Minna, Niger State that caters for the advancement of participation of females in ICT. After the Introduction of Participants and Welcome speech by Nnamdi Okoro, Elizabeth Kolade talked to us about the role of Women in Technology, followed by Isaac Marcus's introduction about the role of Google Developer Group, Minna. The participants who were engaged with some questions from presentations went away with gifts courtesy of GDG Minna before presentations from Hassan Sani and Nnamdi Okoro on If you code, you should blog and Linux 'Kawai' respectively.

In line with the programme of events, the participants were split into groups of Android Development and Web Development. The participants were introduced to best practices in such technologies and for those who were beginners, they were guided on how to develop a simple Android application as well as an app dedicated to knowing the essence of Minna Technology Meetup.

In the Web Development group, they were able to make a single page photo website using bootstrap framework with navigation bar with Mxcliq, Abocoders, GDG Minna as menus.
It was fun to see new faces and provide help to some persons in our capacity. It would be unfair not to appreciate the presence of Mrs. Maimuna and her colleagues from Prestige FM 91.7 Radio station who were on ground to interview some speakers and as well listen to the presentation. We look forward to the next edition believing that we would have spurred the interest of the participants to go beyond their scope and reach for greater heights. Thank you once again to all that made this event a success and we seek support in the areas of entertainment and refreshment of the participant in what ever capacity. See you soon!
